Lesscue is in development. Product-specific examples describe the current design and website screens, which use illustrative data and do not block real apps.

Name the part of the day

A recurring schedule removes the need to make the same setup decision every morning. Begin by naming the situation rather than the desired personality trait. “Working hours” or “Morning study” tells you more than “Be productive.”

Then choose a window that matches your actual calendar. If your morning includes necessary phone-based work, an all-day restriction may not fit. You can begin with a smaller period and revise it after seeing where the boundary is useful.

Define the schedule in one sentence

Use this format: “On Monday through Friday, from 09:00 to 18:00, apply Social media.” It contains the repeating days, start, end and saved app group. If one of those is missing, the schedule is still ambiguous.

In Lesscue’s design preview, Working hours is configured this way. The schedule card shows the time window prominently, with its days and group below. It is a sample to inspect, not an assumption about how long your own workday should be.

Choose the group independently

The schedule answers when; the group answers which apps. Keeping them separate means the same selection can be used for a one-off focus session without creating another near-identical list.

Before saving, check whether the group contains a tool needed during that window. Also inspect Always Allowed: its exceptions remain available across the groups in Lesscue’s current model. A long schedule should not rely on you remembering an unclear exception later in the day.

Review the edges of the window

Read the first and last hour aloud. A 09:00 start can arrive while you are commuting; an 18:00 end may be later than your work actually finishes. Repeating days also matter: a weekday-only boundary should not unexpectedly cover a weekend.

If you use the iPhone’s own scheduling instead, follow Apple’s instructions for your iOS version. Do not assume that the names or behavior of a third-party schedule are identical to system settings.

Save, inspect, then adjust one thing

  1. Give the schedule a name you will recognize in a week.
  2. Check its time window, repeating days and selected group.
  3. Save and read the resulting card, rather than only the editor.
  4. After trying the routine, change the particular setting that caused friction.

In the Lesscue preview, canceling an edit keeps the saved schedule, and a new or edited schedule must include a name, at least one repeating day and a duration of at least 15 minutes. The website does not schedule actual iPhone blocks. Use it to judge the clarity of the flow.
