1. About these terms
These Terms of Service cover the Lesscue website, Lesscue iPhone app and related support provided by Clayee Co., Ltd., a company incorporated in the Republic of Korea ("we", "us" or "our"). They apply to Lesscue specifically. ViviDiary is a separate service operated by the same company; a ViviDiary account or subscription does not provide Lesscue Pro access.
By using the service, you agree to these terms to the extent a binding agreement may be formed under applicable law. If you do not agree, do not use the service. You must be at least 13. If you are under 16, or otherwise cannot enter into a binding agreement in your jurisdiction, a parent or guardian must agree and supervise your use. A higher local minimum age takes precedence.
The app is in development. This website presents its design and illustrative data; it is not an App Store download, a release-date commitment or a working app-blocking service for your browser.
2. App license and Apple
For a version distributed through the App Store, Apple's Standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement governs the software license unless a different license is expressly provided with that version. These terms describe the website, support and Lesscue-specific service conditions; they do not replace Apple's license or reduce rights it or mandatory law gives you. If a provision conflicts with the applicable App Store software license, that license controls the licensing issue.
Apple's platform, account, Screen Time and payment services are subject to Apple's own terms. Apple is not the operator of the Lesscue website. Product names and icons used in examples belong to their respective owners and do not imply endorsement.
3. What Lesscue does
Lesscue lets you choose apps to block, save reusable app groups, keep selected essentials in Always Allowed, create recurring schedules, run timed focus sessions and view relevant usage and focus records. The core local focus and blocking features do not require sign-in. An optional account service on Cloudflare Workers and D1 supports authentication and account management; it does not sync personal records. Optional Pro-only iCloud sync through Apple is separate and stays off until you review and connect. Pro widgets and Live Activities show a small on-device focus summary. These features are implemented in the development app; final device validation and public release are still pending. Supabase is not used.
Blocking depends on compatible iOS features, your authorization and the current state of your device. Permissions being revoked, operating-system restrictions, a restart, a clock or time-zone change, or a system failure may affect scheduling and enforcement. Review warnings and use the recovery controls when the app asks you to confirm its state. We do not promise that every app, website or distraction can always be blocked.
Always Allowed is an exception to Lesscue's own rules. It cannot override restrictions imposed by iOS, a device administrator or another app. An overlapping schedule can continue blocking an app after a focus session ends. A scene being closed is different from a session being ended. The app's confirmation and release rules explain changes to active protection.
Focus records describe time managed by Lesscue. They do not prove continuous attention, complete device non-use or a medical or psychological outcome. Lesscue is a personal productivity tool, not a monitoring service, emergency safeguard or guarantee of access to essential communications. Check your selections before depending on them.
4. Free features and Lesscue Pro
Pro removes the product cap on saved app groups and schedule definitions. Concurrent monitoring and per-selection limits imposed by iOS still apply. Optional private iCloud sync, Home Screen widgets and Live Activities are Pro-only. iCloud sync is off by default and requires a separate review before connecting. Widgets and Live Activities depend on compatible devices and your iOS settings; iOS controls refresh timing. Free and Pro are outlined on the Pricing page. Published USD figures describe the launch plan. Early-access prices apply only for the stated introductory period, followed by the displayed regular renewal; offer eligibility and availability are confirmed through Apple. When Pro is available for purchase, Apple displays the actual product, billing period, local price and applicable trial or offer conditions before you confirm. This website does not sell a subscription, process a payment or promise a universal price.
An auto-renewing subscription is billed to your Apple Account and renews unless canceled under Apple's displayed conditions. Manage or cancel it in iPhone Settings → your name → Subscriptions. Removing the app, clearing local data or emailing support does not cancel a subscription. Apple's cancellation instructions explain the process.
Restore eligible purchases using the same Apple Account. Restoration and entitlement checks may require Apple's network services. Cancellation normally leaves access until the paid period ends; a refund, revocation, expired entitlement or applicable billing state may change access as communicated by Apple. Price changes, consent requirements and billing notices follow Apple's rules and applicable law.
Refund requests for App Store purchases are handled through Apple, including Report a Problem, subject to Apple's process and your mandatory legal rights. We do not offer a blanket no-refund rule or limit statutory remedies. Purchase problems can also be sent to our support address.
5. Your local records and privacy
You retain your rights in the names and records you create. Lesscue does not require a license to publish, train an AI on or commercially reuse your focus history. Records are local by default; optional Pro iCloud sync is described in the Privacy Policy; support receives only what you choose to send.
Enabling Pro iCloud sync stores selected records in your private Apple iCloud database. It will not sync app-selection tokens, raw Screen Time usage or active protection. Downloaded schedules require local review and remain off until you enable them. Cloudflare account sign-in does not back up or restore personal records. You are responsible for your device and Apple backup settings. Deleting records or resetting the app can be irreversible. The reset flow attempts to clean up Lesscue blocking resources before replacing local data; if it fails, follow the recovery instructions. Device loss, corruption or an unavailable backup may make records unrecoverable.
A Lesscue reset does not delete Apple's Screen Time history, erase Apple-managed backups or cancel an Apple subscription. Manage those separately with Apple. We cannot retrieve local records through the website. iCloud sync depends on Apple Account availability and storage, connectivity and Apple’s services. It is not a guaranteed backup. Turning sync off keeps local records; deleting the iCloud copy is a separate confirmed action. Pro expiration pauses sync without automatically deleting records. Cloud deletion remains available without an active subscription. A local-only reset disconnects this device from sync to avoid immediately restoring the same records; other devices and Apple-managed backups are separate.
6. Account registration and security
When activated, the same Sign in with Apple flow creates an account on your first visit and signs you in on later visits. You must accept the displayed terms before continuing. Keep your Apple Account and device secure, and sign out on a shared browser. Do not impersonate another person or transfer authentication credentials.
The account is separate from local app storage and from your Apple billing relationship. Losing access to an account does not transfer or delete local records; we cannot recover those records from the account service. Cloudflare provides the hosting and database infrastructure; the Lesscue authentication flow is implemented by Clayee, rather than supplied by Supabase or Cloudflare Access.
7. Acceptable use and ownership
Use Lesscue lawfully on a device you own or are authorized to manage. Do not use it to secretly monitor another person, coerce their access, interfere with emergency communications, attack the website, distribute malicious code or access systems without permission.
The Lesscue software, brand, visual assets and website content are owned by Clayee or its licensors. You may use the service for its intended purpose. You may not redistribute our protected assets, misrepresent an affiliation or bypass technical protections, except where applicable law or a component's license permits otherwise. Open-source components retain their respective licenses.
8. Availability, updates and ending use
We may improve features, correct errors or change supported versions. Development examples and future concepts are not promises of delivery. We will handle material changes to an offered paid service in accordance with applicable law and Apple's subscription requirements; these terms do not authorize charging for an undisclosed feature or removing a statutory remedy.
You may stop using the service at any time. Review active blocking and reset options before removing the app, and separately cancel any subscription you no longer want. If you created a Lesscue account, you can initiate deletion from Account in the app, with fresh verification of the same Apple identity. Website Account management is available when separately activated. Account deletion removes authentication records and sessions after the provider grant is revoked, subject to the limited security and backup retention described in the Privacy Policy. It does not clear your local app records, delete an iCloud sync copy or cancel an Apple subscription. If deletion cannot be completed, retry or contact support; an error is not a deletion confirmation. We may restrict abusive access to the website or support channels where lawful; this does not give us remote access to your app records or cancel your Apple subscription.
9. Responsibility and consumer rights
We aim to provide a reliable service, but cannot promise uninterrupted operation, error-free blocking or preservation of every local record. To the extent permitted by applicable law, the service is provided as available, without additional guarantees of a particular productivity result.
To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses resulting from use of the service. Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited, including applicable liability for fraud, intentional misconduct, gross negligence, or death or personal injury. Mandatory consumer guarantees, refund rights and other non-waivable remedies remain available. The applicable App Store license also governs its own warranty and liability provisions.
10. Questions, disputes and changes
Please contact us first if a problem arises so we can try to resolve it. This invitation does not delay a legal deadline, require mandatory arbitration, waive a class or representative action right, or prevent you from using a court or regulator with jurisdiction. Applicable law, including mandatory protections in your place of residence, determines your rights.
We will post updated terms with a revised date. Material changes will be communicated through the website or app with reasonable advance notice where required by law; any additional acceptance required by law will be requested. A change does not retroactively remove rights you already have. If one provision is unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue to apply to the extent lawful.
