The practical answer
Logging out, deleting a Lesscue account, clearing local records, deleting optional iCloud data, and canceling an Apple subscription are separate actions. Choose the one that matches what you want removed or stopped. A successful account deletion should never be presented as proof that every local or Apple-managed item was also erased.
A setup to try
- Write down the goal: stop using the account, remove local history, erase optional cloud copies, or stop subscription renewal. Match the goal to its named control before confirming.
- If protection is active, read the release requirement before resetting data. Locked protection cannot be bypassed through a routine account or reset screen.
- For iCloud deletion, wait for server-confirmed completion and use the retry state if needed. Offline intent is not evidence that the remote copy has already been removed.
- Manage a paid subscription separately through Apple. Retain any records you want before deleting the app or resetting local data.
Does logging out erase the focus history stored on my iPhone?
No. Account sign-out and local personal records are separate concerns. Logging out ends the account session; it is not a local-history wipe. If you want to remove recorded sessions, use the corresponding data control and read its local-versus-iCloud scope before confirming.
Does deleting my Lesscue account cancel my Pro subscription?
No. The Lesscue account service and the Apple subscription are managed separately. Account deletion removes the relevant account identity data, while renewal must be managed through Apple’s subscription controls. Check both if your intention is to stop the service relationship and future billing.
If I reset local data, are optional iCloud copies definitely gone too?
A local reset is not the same operation as deleting the iCloud data. Lesscue pauses sync during reset so old responses cannot refill the new local state. If you also want remote copies removed, use the explicit iCloud deletion control and verify its completion state.
Can I clear this iPhone’s focus history without deleting the cloud history?
The local-only history option pauses synchronization and removes pending focus uploads for that local action. Existing cloud history can return if you later reconnect. Read that distinction carefully: clearing one phone is not a request to delete the same records from every connected device.
Why might old focus records return after I reconnect iCloud?
If you cleared only the iPhone, the cloud copy may still exist. Reconnection can merge that history back into the local store. Decide whether your goal was a fresh local view or deletion everywhere, and use the appropriate explicit control rather than assuming the two are equivalent.
Can I reset the app to escape a Locked session early?
Not through the normal Lesscue reset flow. Resetting local data applies the strongest active protection requirement, so Locked requires the permitted Emergency path first. This keeps a destructive settings action from becoming an ordinary shortcut around the ending method chosen for the run.
Do I need Pro to delete data already stored in my private iCloud database?
Existing iCloud-data deletion and an already confirmed deletion retry remain available even after Pro expires. New synchronization is a different entitlement-controlled activity. The app should not require another subscription merely to finish removing an existing cloud copy you have chosen to delete.
What does deletion pending mean when my phone is offline?
It means the intent is recorded but the remote operation has not yet been confirmed. Keep the distinction visible and reconnect to complete or retry it. Lesscue should not display a finished cloud deletion merely because the local button was pressed successfully.
Does deleting focus history restore my two Emergency allowances?
No. Focus history and the local Emergency allowance ledger are separate. Deleting session records is not a normal way to obtain additional releases. The allowance uses confirmed Emergency timestamps in a rolling seven-day window rather than counting the rows currently visible in focus history.
What should I do before handing an iPhone to someone else?
Decide which local records, account session, optional iCloud copies, and Apple subscription you intend to retain or remove. Complete the relevant actions and verify their states before the wider device handoff. Do not rely on a single Lesscue logout button to perform every data and billing task.
