The practical answer

Lesscue supports a routine whose end time falls on the next day. The repeat day belongs to the start of that window: a Friday 11 p.m. routine ending at 7 a.m. continues into Saturday morning. Review the displayed next-day end and essential tools before enabling it.

A setup to try

  1. Choose the apps to set aside and preserve alarm, contact and travel tools you need overnight.
  2. Set the start and end times, then select the weekdays on which the routine should begin.
  3. Read the next-day summary and test a shorter Confirm window before relying on the overnight configuration.

For Friday 11 p.m. to Saturday 7 a.m., which repeat day should I select?

Select Friday because the repeat day identifies the start of the occurrence. The end belongs to the following morning. Read the next-day label in the routine summary so the intended Friday-night boundary is not confused with a window beginning late on Saturday.

Does an overnight routine stop automatically at midnight?

No. A valid overnight occurrence retains its planned next-day end. Midnight is a calendar transition rather than an instruction to finish that run. Review the actual end time shown for the current protection, especially when several routines or a focus session overlap.

Can I make the start and end time identical for a 24-hour routine?

The current routine model treats equal times as an invalid zero-duration definition rather than a 24-hour shortcut. Use distinct times for a clear daily window. Avoid relying on an ambiguous all-day configuration when you need predictable access to essential applications.

Why will a ten-minute overnight routine not save?

The current Lesscue routine model requires a window of at least fifteen minutes, and manual Focus also supports fifteen to 180 minutes. A ten-minute range is therefore not a supported workaround in either flow. Choose a valid window and review the intended start and end before saving.

Will switching the routine off after midnight end the current occurrence?

Future settings and the current occurrence are separate. Turning off future starts should not be treated as a silent early release of a running boundary. The active occurrence keeps its snapshot and ending policy, so review the current-state action if you intend to end protection now.

How do I keep my alarm available during an overnight boundary?

Keep the Clock app outside the blocked selection and test the alarm separately before relying on the routine. A Lesscue boundary is not an alarm scheduler. Also review the actual alarm time, sound and volume rather than assuming an attractive night scene confirms that an alarm is configured.

Should an overnight routine use Confirm or Locked?

Start with Confirm while checking alarm, contact and morning requirements. Choose Locked only when the window and exceptions fit your real night. A long overnight commitment is not the place to discover that the app you need for an early journey was included by mistake.

What if I need different weekend wake-up times?

Create a separate weekend definition with Pro, using the nights on which each window starts. On Free, keep the one recurring routine focused on the most useful pattern and handle occasional changes with reviewed manual sessions. Do not leave overlapping definitions unless that overlap is intentional.

Will an overnight routine prove that I slept for the whole window?

No. The window describes planned app protection, not sleep measurement. Lesscue does not infer sleep from a blocked app or a completed timer. Review your own routine separately and avoid turning protected hours into a claim about sleep duration or sleep quality.

What should I check when an overnight routine appears at the wrong time?

Check the repeat day, next-day end, iPhone clock and whether another occurrence is still active. A Friday-night definition can be visible on Saturday morning without being wrong. Use the current status and exact times to distinguish that expected continuation from a scheduling issue.
