Lesscue is in development. Product-specific guidance describes the current native development build. Public App Store availability has not been announced. Website screens use illustrative data.

The practical answer

Put the necessary purchase into a defined window before blocking shopping apps. Lesscue can set an application or supported website boundary; it cannot distinguish checkout from browsing inside the same app. Keep payment verification available, and choose a session length that does not conflict with an order you must finish.

A setup to try

  1. Write the item, budget and deadline before opening a shopping app; keep the list somewhere that remains available.
  2. Complete any necessary order, then select shopping apps and relevant websites for the next task period.
  3. Keep your bank or authenticator available if required, and review receipts during a separate planned window.

Can I block shopping recommendations but leave checkout available?

Not as a separate in-app feature in Lesscue. An application boundary covers the shopping app rather than identifying recommendations, a cart or checkout. Finish the planned transaction before the session, or leave the app available for a short purchase window and block it afterwards.

Should I block my banking app with shopping apps?

Only if you have a separate reason to set that boundary and do not need it during the period. A bank or payment authenticator may be essential for an unrelated task. Review applications individually rather than assuming every finance or shopping-related tool serves the same purpose.

How do I stop browsing after buying the one item I needed?

Define the finish point as receipt confirmation rather than feeling finished with the app. Save the receipt, close the app, and begin the next planned session with that shopping route selected. This creates a concrete transition that you can inspect afterwards without estimating how much money a blocker saved.

Can I keep a delivery-tracking app available while blocking a marketplace?

Yes, if tracking uses a separate application, preserve that application while selecting the marketplace. If tracking exists only inside the blocked shopping app, it is not a separate Lesscue exception. Check the actual tracking route before choosing Locked or a long recurring window.

What if a flash sale starts during my Locked focus session?

Treat the sale deadline as a scheduling decision made before starting, not a reason to expect a hidden ordinary unlock. Locked lasts until its planned end unless its limited Emergency flow is used. Choose a shorter session if you have already decided the purchase is genuinely necessary.

Will blocking a store’s app also block promotional emails?

No. The email application and its notifications are separate from the store’s app. Decide whether the issue is browsing, incoming marketing or both, and use the appropriate notification or subscription controls for email. Lesscue does not unsubscribe you from a store’s messages.

Can I set a weekly time to review saved shopping items?

Use an external reminder or your existing planning habit to define the review window, then arrange Lesscue boundaries around it. A blocked period controls availability; it does not maintain your wishlist, compare products or decide which purchase fits your budget.

Will Lesscue show how much money I avoided spending?

It cannot know which purchases would otherwise have happened. A focus duration or reduced app-use total is not proof of financial savings. If spending is the question, review actual orders and your own budget separately rather than turning screen-time differences into a claimed cash result.

What should I test before blocking a shopping site for an afternoon?

Test the tools you still need: bank approval, authenticator, delivery contact and any purchase required for work. Start with Confirm to end so you can correct a missing requirement. Once the essential routes are clear, choose a duration and release mode that fit the afternoon.

How do I make a shopping boundary less disruptive during a move?

Keep a written list of outstanding purchases and batch the ones that need the same store into a planned window. Protect shorter packing or administrative periods between those windows. A temporary practical arrangement can be more useful than imposing your normal routine during an unusually purchase-heavy week.
