Lesscue is in development. Product-specific guidance describes the current native development build. Public App Store availability has not been announced. Website screens use illustrative data.

The practical answer

A meeting boundary should keep the tools required to join, authenticate and contribute available. Review the complete sign-in flow rather than only the meeting app. Set aside optional feeds for the scheduled period, using a flexible ending mode when the meeting’s length or resource needs are uncertain.

A setup to try

  1. Join or test the meeting link and identify the conferencing app, browser, authenticator and documents involved.
  2. Preserve those tools and select the unrelated apps you tend to open during the call.
  3. Choose a duration that fits the agenda, then review the result after the meeting rather than changing the group during a committed run.

How do I block social apps without blocking my two-factor authenticator?

Select the distracting apps individually and preserve the authenticator, using Always Allowed when it should remain available across groups. Test the actual sign-in flow before the meeting. A broad category selection can be harder to reason about than a short list of specific optional applications.

What if my video call opens from a calendar link in Safari?

Check the whole path before starting: calendar, browser, conferencing app and authentication may all be involved. Keep the required applications available. The meeting app being excluded from the blocked list does not establish that every link or sign-in step used to reach it is also available.

Can I use Lesscue while taking notes on my iPhone?

Yes. Keep the note-taking app out of the blocked group, or add it to Always Allowed, and select unrelated distractions. The focus scene does not change the nature of the notes or capture meeting content. Choose a setup that lets you perform the work.

Will Lesscue automatically turn off my camera or microphone?

No such meeting-control feature is promised. Application access, camera permission and microphone permission are separate concerns. Configure the meeting app’s own controls as needed, and do not interpret a Lesscue session as evidence that recording, camera or microphone settings have changed.

Should a meeting with an uncertain end time use Locked?

Confirm to end is usually easier to fit while you are learning the meeting’s practical requirements. Locked is a deliberate commitment to the selected window and has no ordinary early ending. Choose it only when the necessary tools and the duration are sufficiently clear for that use.

Can I keep Slack available for the meeting but block one distracting channel?

Lesscue does not provide channel-specific shields inside a messaging application. Keeping Slack available preserves the app as a whole. Use the app’s own channel controls for that distinction, and use Lesscue for separate applications you do not need during the meeting.

What if I need a new browser reference halfway through the call?

If changing reference needs are normal, preserve the browser and use targeted website boundaries or a flexible session. A meeting can require unexpected resources. Prepare the selection around that reality rather than assuming a blanket browser block is always the more focused choice.

Can a calendar event start my Lesscue session automatically?

The current product does not promise calendar-event-triggered focus sessions. Start the session deliberately or use a recurring time window when it reliably matches your schedule. A calendar entry and a Lesscue routine remain separate records unless an explicit supported integration says otherwise.

Does completing the timer prove I attended the meeting?

No. The timer records a session outcome, not attendance or participation. Keep any required work records in the system your organization uses. Lesscue does not certify that you were connected to a call, listening throughout it or completing a particular work obligation.

What should I review after a meeting boundary caused a sign-in problem?

Identify the precise missing application or website, then update the saved group or confirmed exception for the next meeting. Retest the entire route in a flexible session. Avoid responding by globally allowing every work-related app when one specific dependency was the actual problem.
